At SMS we are reaching out to request an urgent resource to support our ongoing projects. We require an Azure Cloud Engineer.Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer
Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ years)
Project: Landing Zone optimization projectResponsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services.
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect data and applications in the cloud.
- Build and support landing zones to ensure scalable and secure cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and backend systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud computing and backend development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Azure.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Python.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate).
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and MS Bicep
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Proven experience in building and/or supporting landing zones.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
