As a Senior Python Backend Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in modernizing our technological architecture. You’ll work with technologies such as Python, Django, JavaScript, JQuery, and Vue.js, collaborating closely with senior engineers, team leads, and product experts. This is a high-visibility role, offering you the opportunity to shape the company’s future direction.Responsibilities Collaborate with and guide multiple teams to influence engineering decisions and technology selection. Maintain and evolve software architecture to meet current and future business needs. Partner with product management to develop features that are simple, consistent, and robust. Contribute to an Agile environment using Scrum development practices, automated unit testing, continuous integration, code reviews, and automated build processes. Write and maintain unit tests for all features. Proactively identify issues that could impact delivery timelines. Resolve complex production issues and maintain the codebase. Tackle challenges related to system performance, scalability, and reliability. Stay updated on development best practices and share knowledge with the team.RequisitosBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (MUST) Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate fluently (MUST). 4+ years of experience in web development using Python and SQL databases (e.g., MySQL or others). Experience building APIs. Hands-on experience developing SaaS products in the cloud. Proficiency with Django or any other Python framework. Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Vue.js (preferred). Experience with Docker for application containerization. Proven experience developing large-scale enterprise applications. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, API Gateway, and Lambda. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and learn quickly. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working in startups. Solid understanding of database design, SQL performance optimization, and testing techniques. Familiarity with the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector.BeneficiosFully remote work. Competitive salary paid in USD.
